Leah is a career higher education professional with a passion for sustainable sewing, upcycling, and crafting. She has degrees in chemistry (BS), biochemistry and cell biology (MS), and interdisciplinary leadership (PhD). Sewing, crocheting, and knitting help relieve stress and let Leah tap into her creative side.

Leah is mom to two mostly grown young men and Lollie to one precocious toddler. She is also an animal lover and is currently working to support her two rescue dogs, Daisy (left)and Ghost (right).
Most of Leah’s products are sewn on her grandmother’s 1950s-era vintage Necchi sewing machine, shown here. She owes her love of crafting to her family heritage and some talented coworkers and friends.
